OK due to media gaslighting, let's be clear about what actually happened here the last 2 days between AG Barr, Acting US Attorney Geoffrey Berman of SDNY.

First, Berman was **temporarily appointed"" by a court after the Elliot Spitzer unpleasantness.

Berman knew as an Acting USA, he could be replaced by the eventual Trump administration nominee at any time over the past 2 1/2 years.

So Trump finally got around to nominating a permanent US Attorney to replace the Acting US Attorney at SDNY.

YESTERDAY Barr issued a standard press release revealing that President Trump had made this nomination & the new USA's name is Jay Clayton.

Barr also named a new Acting US Attorney, Craig Carpitano, who will take over running SDNY from Berman in 2 weeks, on July 3rd.

THERE WAS NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY ABOUT ANY OF THIS....

Until Berman suddenly put out his own press release where he **alleged** AG Barr had just tried to **force him to resign** immediately & he had refused to do so.

Even media reporters who I thought would know how this works are falling for Berman's gaslighting, demanding to know why in this letter today Barr doesn't mention his having tried to FORCE Berman to resign yesterday.

You know WHY Barr's letter today to Berman informing him he has just been fired doesn't make any mention of Barr having tried to force Berman to resign yesterday?

Up until about an hour ago, Berman was **still** slated to be the Acting US Attorney for SDNY **until** July 3rd.

He was supposed to be there to HELP the incoming new Acting US Attorney replacing him, Craig Carpitano, make a smooth transition to running the office.

But Berman dramatically draping himself over a fainting couch and loudly yelling "Oh my Goodness, Attorney General William Barr is trying to force me to resign immediately!" has apparently CONFUSED a lot of people.

So yeah...because of this STUNT he pulled lying about Barr trying to force his immediate resignation, Berman has now succeeded in getting his ass fired.
