For all my screenwriters mourning about not placing in whatever contest. I have a file full of rejection letters and not one framed acceptance letter. NOT. A. ONE. I’m a working writer with a management team, an agent and a lawyer... I’m just sayin.
Not saying contests are bad but they are not the only way in.
Need more hope? Sold my first script at 44 after writing for 9 years. Didn’t sell another one till 52. Now... if you stay in the game it’ll happen or it won’t but you’ll be a lot happier in the fight than wondering “what if”.
