A correct answer, for those who are curious:
- The woman, as conservative as she is described to be, can definitely still receive care from a male physician. My sister was born at the hands of a male OB/GYN because my mother went into labour 3 weeks before due date. 2/
- Additionally, when and if applicable, receiving care from a female nurse/PA/med student/APP is also fine.

But importantly: We are independent women and can work with male providers WITHOUT our husbands/significant others! This is ridiculous! 3/
Standardized testing - USMLE/NBME/MCAT - are HUGE perpetrators of stereotyping, racial inequities, and gross mischaracterizations. This has to change. Given how important these tests are made out to students, it's unsurprising these biases & heuristics persist beyond examination.
I want to add that women/female-identifying patients - regardless of faith or cultural background - often want care from a female provider for comfort. Her religion (and burka stereotype) is completely irrelevant and the best answer to this weird question is B don't @ me. 5/5
