So, at Korean weddings, guests can go up to hundreds of people, just like other weddings around the world. But in this case, seokjin decided to be the host of the wedding, meaning he was up in front of maybe a hundred guests who all had permission to take pictures.
Now, seokjin is a very intelligent and self aware man. If he had not wanted for pictures to be taken of him and to have attended the wedding secretly, he wouldn't have become host. Also the guests attending were not aware of him being a host, so the fans who were there to
celebrate their friends marriage did not show up knowing a member of BTS would be there. So naturally, pictures were taken of him, by possibly up to a hundred people, people who were friends of the couple, and invited to the wedding.
Now, although as fans of BTS, we prefer for pictures from events not publicized by bighit to not be rotated around social media...the fans who did post pictures, were technically not in the wrong, because they had permission to take those pictures and post them on their
social media whether or not a celebrity was present. We could've asked them respectfully to not circulate such pictures around the web but instead people resorted to calling them sasaengs...stalkers, when in fact they were friends of the couple being married
We have had a situation before where bangtan has been to a wedding and we did not act this way at all. It was when bangtan attended the wedding of their manager, hobeom. We all, collectively as a fandom celebrated and spread around pictures in glee.
We were happy, for the manager getting married and also for seeing bangtan in such a healthy and normal environment with staff from their company
The pictures and videos from the wedding, were again from people who were not aware of bangtan showing up

actually they came from the mothers and friends of multiple k-armys.
Guests, who were allowed to take pics of the wedding, as it is in most if not all weddings around the world, whether or not there is a celebrity present

now why is there such a big difference between the two different reactions?
i mean, neither events were publicized by bighit
take some time and think over this, why these actions aren't consistent with each other

if it were the case of private pics of bts on private events being leaked, k-armys would've been up in arms too, trust me
but these are people who were going on their normal lives at a public event they were invited to and did what any and all normal people do at a wedding
but these are people who were going on their normal lives at a public event they were invited to and did what any and all normal people do at a wedding
many, including me, agree that we feel uncomfortable with those pics being circulated around the internet, but the truth is, just because we as fans are uncomfortable with this activity does not mean it is illegal or unmoral...but we could've easily and kindly asked those fans to
take down the pics from twitter at least...but again, instead of doing that, people resorted to disgusting actions, actions that can really scar people, and make them withdraw, as they did by closing their accounts and leaving twitter
this is a pov that I wanted you all to take consideration of, and rethink the actions that many made, whether it was you or not, and also think about how lack of context can easily fuel misunderstanding, and how these kinds of situations will CONTINUE to happen in our fandom
one more thing i wanted to add, just like how these k-armys posted pics of the wedding here, so did non-fans who attended the wedding, pictures of seokjin at the wedding are all over instagram accounts of friends who attended the wedding, it was even trending in korea
so technically, if you're gonna have this energy about these fans (who had the right) posting the pics, you're gonna have to keep this energy about every friend who posts pics of bangtan or with bangtan at public events and meetings not publicized by bighit
also one more thing PLEASE PLEASE FOR GOODNESS SAKE EDUCATE YOURSELVES ABOUT WHAT SASAENGS ARE AND STOP CALLING EVERY KOREAN WHO TAKES A PIC OF BANGTAN IN PUBLIC A SASAENG, the amount of fucking ignorance gets people's lives RUINED in a matter of seconds, THIS SHIT IS NOT FUNNY
some of y'all are creating more misunderstandings and saying that im condoning the spreading of the pictures, when I literally said the exact opposite...attacking original posters/wedding guests and calling them sasaengs instead of kindly asking is what im pointing out here
I am not comfortable with nor do I condone pics and vids of seokjin at the wedding being circulated, why would I? I'm not friends of the married couple, I don't know seokjin personally, so why would I want to see the pictures.
the point was to do your fucking research first
