Why Black Dress had the most impact on clc’s career: a thread
This is my opinion!!! Every CLC song impacted them in a good way but I personally feel like black dress had the most impact!
1. Black Dress helped the girls become more popular on Korea. It’s their most liked song on Melon. It has more likes compared to their other songs meaning kfans like black dress more.

2. The members started to gain attention in Korea, especially Yeeun. She started trending among Koreans as the girl with short hair.
3. Their brand reputation points started to go up. More people were searching them up and trying to figure out who CLC were.
4. Since Black Dress started to gain attention their album sales also went up. They reached 8k album sales and then blue box stopped re printing them....
5. Dancers in Hongdae started to add Black Dress in their busking set list. The dance itself had a huge impact!
6. Black Dress also is their most viewed dance practice. MANY people know the dance and it’s usually always included in random play dances (I didn’t count hobgoblins performance version cause that’s a performance version not a dance practice)

9. Idk if this is relevant but from someone who covers kpop songs I noticed that black dress was covered A LOT among coverists

I feel like Black Dress helped CLC gain attention both internationally and in Korea. It impacted their career a lot because people started to notice and Stan CLC more.
Again, this is my opinion! Every single CLC song has impacted the girls in a good way and have brought them attention.
Black dress easily could have gotten a win if they promoted on the show. The show is known for giving under appreciated/unpopular groups their first win. CLC promoted on the show for the first time during no era +
Idk why they started promoting on the show during No but if they started earlier the girls would have gotten their first win during black dress
Anyway, CLC now is gaining a lot of attention both internationally and in Korea. They’re pretty popular internationally now
