Could it be that the reason why men can often appear aloof and elusive with their vulnerability is because they generally view their emotional sanctity in the same light that women generally view their sexual sanctity? Neither wants to present it before being comfortable.

And if you present it before being comfortable, you can feel a slight disgust with yourself.

And in the same way we are trying to normalize “being a slut” which really means allowing women to be free to have sex with whoever and whenever and however frequently without shame, we are and should be encouraging men to emote without fear of being shamed for it.
