If women cannot network safely, without fear that the men they need to network with are actually going to try to take advantage of them and/or retaliate if they refuse, women cannot enter an industry where connections are critical.
Men need to understand that every networking event for every woman in games ever has required us to be on our guard constantly, to monitor every interaction for possible consequences.

At best, those of us who are lucky enough to have only ever had 'near misses', are exhausted.
