Hey, friends, you ever see me publicly endorsing or supporting someone who’s not a great person, and you feel comfortable doing so, definitely let me know. It’s come up a couple times in recent months and I’m always grateful.
I wanted to follow up on this, because I'd like to see other folks in my position also be aware of how to be actually useful.. we have a power that we often underestimate. If you have heard stories, but cannot share their name publicly (often unsafe for others to do so)...
- don't work with them
- don't endorse them publicly or privately
- in person, if you see them cornering someone, go be a third wheel.
- be available, as others have mentioned, to pull someone out of a bad situation
- confront if asked, but respect desires of their target on that
