, essentially, "protect the babies". I asked about character. They said they weren't electing a pastor; they were electing a leader. I realized they were full of it. Their election had always been about maintaining power. It was then i decided to
vote in a way that served the most disenfranchised and marginalized, even if it meant voting against my ability to maintain power. I would use my vote to help those without help. I would do what the evangelicals only claimed to do.
