So, I was walking to my friends. It's about 25 minutes walk. Decided to wear my new rainbow trainers and got all excited about it 
only they're not properly broken in... So I got half way there and passed Morrisons. My heel was starting to twinge... So I bought plasters.

I set off again but they really hurt... So I went back in to take my tights off and put more plasters on in the toilet (Not great) By the time I came out I couldn't walk! So I hobbled along to where I knew there was a bench. Ended up taking my left shoe off I was in so much pain!
I walked to the benches and this guy was just getting up. I didn't care. I sat down to take a look at my bloody foot (literally) and he's there - taking a picture! Of me! I just looked at him... You can imagine, I wasn't in the mood. He said, well I wanted to take a picture...
of it (the memorial benches) so you'll have to be in it now... I said slowly, "I hobbled over here with nothing on my foot and my shoe in my hand... What part of this do you think says, take my picture?!

I said, no I've got all of Morrisons plasters, I'll be OK. Then we talked about why he was taking a picture. He ended up telling me a bit about himself. Which is fine, people do that with me, it's one of my superpowers. We got chatting while I saw to the hole in my foot.
He said about being single and asked if I was too. I said yes but I'm too fat for you! Ha! (I know I shouldn't say that!) He asked about my life, what it was like. It was a strange conversation. And what I was looking for. I said, after the last attempt, I know what I want now...
..A relationship, and I won't settle for less. He said he wasn't, as he wasn't in a good place, job wise etc. Said he didn't have much going for him. But he was nice and so good looking! So I said, I'm not trying it on, but you're really good looking, you need to know that! Ha!
But it was true! And it's good to compliment people and tell the truth. I wanted to make sure he was ok. I asked if he had any support, and he did. He was struggling this weekend due to something I won't reveal, but he opened up to me and it was nice to be there for someone.
Even a total stranger. He started talking about being interested in me again but I batted it off. He said if he was younger we'd be swapping numbers... Ha! I'm 40! Anyway, I asked his name, and we said we'd probably see each other around. It was nice.
Nice to think you can connect with someone and an ego boost I guess! Not for me. Then my mate came to pick me up as I couldn't actually walk!
