Why I'm voting @ForwardMmtm. My experience organising workplaces is you need to trust and give members agency, involve them in decision making and give ownership of campaigns and successes. That's how you develop collectivism, socialist values and bring in wider layers.
It also holds leaderships to account. If engaged members have highlighted an issue, you're expected to campaign and involve them at every stage. Otherwise you'll be replaced by someone who will. And if members disagree, you win them over through debate and political education.
Momentum needs to energise its own members and trust them to inform its own decision making via frequent and meaningful participation and an accountable NCG. It needs to build its base and turn them into socialist organisers in order to look outwards into the workplace and beyond
Socialist organisers can politicise workplaces by linking everyday struggle to capitalism and political education- winning recognition agreements, unionise dormant workplaces, build rank and file rep networks. This is how Momentum should organise in unions - focusing on members.
Both slates have brilliant socialist comrades and have been very impressed with Renewal candidates. However I'm voting for @ForwardMmtm on its deep organising model to members and democracy, developing socialist cadre and building workplace and class power through our unions.
