A tasteful, niche narrative that had impressed the major chunk of Telugu crowd. It has given a platform several promising talents, lead actors, music director, writer/director. I saw the film on its very first day, It has a left pleasant effect on me.

#PelliChoopulu - A Thread.
Prashant is introduced to as a happy-go-lucky, & sort of irresponsible person. His family keeps blaming him for his careless attitude, He is happy thinking about eating roadside Idly while going to his would be's home. The titles and "Sakhi" song gives a Nagesh Kukunoor vibe.
Chitra is introduced with a lengthy shot where the camera is following her, She is the bride. And the ironical part of both of them (with a kid) getting locked in a room, where the whole first half happens. Very classy writing, off-beat drama.
I liked the way the entire situation is conceived, I mean there's a power cut in the house, the door got jammed, and there's a kid in the room. And the actual twist is not yet revealed. And I got extremely related to Prashant's dialogue "Cha. Cha. Udgoyam em ledu." 🤫😂
Prashant's brief flashback of his supply-diaries is absolute fun. And Priyadarshi makes an impression with his wit, "Ninnati chits pettina aina parla pass aitha ra." And the Samosa-Sauce analogy and stuff validate how the good the dialogue writer Tharun is.
Chitra distrusts the patriarchal system, she's affected by her father's extravagant stupidity and desire for a male child. She falls for a person, who pursues her in a typical Maniratnam style (Mouna Ragam Karthik to be precise). She has lofty dreams of MBA and Entrepreneurship.
This is a tiny sequence the director sort of proposes the magic element behind their meet. The magic of food, the Fish, and chips. Chitra giving him a thousand-clap reaction. I loved the food in the film, btw. (Foodie confession).
The love story of Prashant is the exact opposite of the earnest romance of Chitra. He does time-pass with a girl-friend for pleasing his friends. And, the hilarious cheating-cum-breakup scene followed by the Prashant breaking out and having his favorite street food. Class.😍
Chitra realizes that Prashant was the reason for one of the best jovial moments in her life, with his break up viral video. Chitra plans an economically viable Food truck business with her fiancee. Her extremely rigid dad denies and ultimately accepts to help her with the money.
The situational-wit in this episode where Prashant does all weirdo stuff to earn something so that he could escape the Pelli choopulu scene. Ironically, he gets 500 Rupees paid by YouTube for his cooking videos, and his prank stuff ends in a mess.
Chitra reveals her break up story on how her spineless boyfriend cheated her. Once the flashback ends, the kid says to Prashant that "I think she (Chitra) is crying." And Prashant asks whether they have any common interest, Chitra confesses, she also doesn't like Samosa-Sauce.
Pelli Choopulu dialogues are 😍😍.
When Chitra bravely refuses the original marriage proposal (after the confusion ends), her grandma gets worried about her missing the TV serials. That Narasimha lo Rajinikanth dialogue by Darshi when Prashant confuses the homemaid as his bride.
Chitra who wants money to pursue her dreams thinks of restoring her Food Truck Biz plan with Prashant as the chef. He arrogantly refuses her deal, but ironically falls for his to-be father in law's condition. Prashant again reaches to Chitra helplessly, and biz begins.
"Maatalade Mouna Raagam Aataladaga
Ee Vetu Choopu Choose Kallu Vechi Vundaga

Raalu Raga Poola Maala Paaduthundagaa
Ee Vela Sandhya Sanna Jaaji Paata Paadagaa"

Such a beauty this song is!
Lyrics by: Rahul Ramakrishna, btw.
Prashant messes their first contract with usual reckless behavior, Chitra regrets her decision of joining with him. Then comes the beautiful scene where Prashant lectures Chitra's dad about her wishes, and desires. It was a perfect scene, and the tailpiece by Darshi is hilarious.
Chitra immediately repays Prashant by convincing his father about his cooking skills. Eventually, he gets convinced and asks him to prepare a nice sweet. Then Merise Merise song takes-off. Prashant falls for her.

"కడలే యదలో మునకేసేనా
చిగురులు తొడిగే లతలే అన్ని
సీతాకోకలాయే." ♥️🤍
