The 11th (!) edition of my weekly Covid attitudes overview.
- Stable views of Covid: v.gradual decline in concern
- Amidst job insecurity, most employees positive about employer responses
- UK attitudes stand out a lot in a comparative context

Very gradual decline in Covid concern across June
No great rush to the shops: a gradual increase in activity, in the ComResSavanta daily trackers

It may well have less emotional intensity, but public approval of the supermarkets is just as broad as it is of the NHS - both contrasting with the dip in approval of govt
The Kekst study also shows that - and also allows perceptions of different institutions in UK and elsewhere to be compared. (German confidence in institutions is highest; UK business did well in this pandemic with public broadly)

4/10 people are worried about job security, but 3/4 of employees are v.positive about their employer's decisions and communication so far: higher employee trust than in 2019, pre-pandemic. (Many interesting details in this Ipsos-Mori study of employees)

1 in 4 employees were furloughed. They are (mildly) less positive - yet 7/10 are positive. (Indeed, those furloughed in 2020 have similar levels of employee confidence to the 2019 average score; the non-furloughed have gone up)
(But I wouldn't be surprised if there were some differences within that. Eg, if almost everybody in an organisation or sector was furloughed, less likely to be a decrease in trust or attachment. Otherwise, perceived fairness/legitimacy of process may well become more important)
There are gender differences on remote working: 22% of women & 16% of men say work-life balance got worse. Most people - across genders - are positive about remote working, with high expectations this will lead to a sustained shift in organisational culture. TBC if that happens
Lots on conspiracy theories from @policyatkings - we seem to talk most about the one with less reach (5G). More say government may be hiding (30%) or exaggerating (14%) number of deaths.

13% see a pro-vaccine plot afoot
7% don't see any real evidence that Covid exists (!)
Different conspiracy theories have different profiles.
- several do considerably better among the young. The young are more cooped up & frustrated by lockdown than the old (and I wonder how that affects how to read how seriously to take agreement with some of these statements)
