It’s a mistake to frame the Trump rally as a virus bomb about to happen. There might very well be little or no evidence of spread from this event. What’s important is that holding this rally is a reckless wanton act and a tremendous failure of leadership.
If a week or two goes by and there are no stories of attendees being infected, they’re going to mock you and proclaim the rallies are safe. It doesn’t take a genius to see this.
The people earnestly replying “but surely there will be virus spread at this event” are really missing the point, but please note that I don’t disagree with you. Yeah it will probably happen. But establishing a direct link is far from guaranteed.
