Are English dubs really bad or are you a weeb who's learned Japanese from anime
It's fair to like subs by the way! Source material can always be amazing. Let's just not insult creatives for doing something that makes it easier for non Japanese speakers to follow. Localizing isn't easy but they do it for so many those who need it.
Give dubs the benefit of the doubt and you'll find out there are dubs equally as good as their source material, and sometimes even better.
There are good and bad dubs in any language. It's not possible to criticize deliveries in a language you do not speak for example and there are many things to consider in dubs such as inflections. If English dubs mimic the Japanese version, it can sound very unnatural.
Anyone who says the original is better than this can fight me
Also do understand dub quality is a team effort. Actors are usually paid to read lines & be directed. Translation, writing, audio edits, casting and voice direction are equally as important! We can have an all star cast still sound bad if any of the other elements are sloppy.
