Please remember that a COVID tracing app is the reason that South Korea has managed to open their theatre doors!
Every time I’ve been asked about reopening theatres, I’ve said until Westerners get over this 1984 complex and allow a tracing app to notify us if there was a case in the audience of a West End show then we won’t get very far!
Plus we give away ALL our data on this site, google maps, deliveroo, Facebook, Instagram... The FACE SWAP app is the worst by the way... the list goes on and on! This is data that we can give that can genuinely help us move forward!
Remember your smart phones are just that, they are smart. They are computers. When I was in Japan, my iphone knew and warned me of an earthquake coming. To me, that is amazing. If you worry about your data being harvested by the government, I suggest you don’t use a smart phone!
Should add I’m not supporting the governments response to this situation in the slightest! Far from it & they will probably balls this app up too but just flagging to those nervous & vocal about the tracing app that we pretty much give the same data away freely already.
