It’s a good introduction to any beginner wine drinker because of its delicate acidity and burst of tropical fruit both on the palate and smell. Whether you like bubbly, sweet, dry, or dessert wine #Chenin is bound to make an appearance there. Here’s a few from our stable:

First up is @WildehurstW Chenin Blanc from #Swartland region. Harvested from 30 year old #Bushvine this Chenin has seen 6 months lees contact in French oak barrels giving the wine a citrus blossom and lemony undertones with a sweet mineral backbone on the palate #Drinkchenin

Next up we have the @metzerwines Montane Chenin Blanc. Hailing from the foothills of the #HelderburgMountain range planted in 1964, it saw 8 months maturation in barrel leaving a bouquet of apple,hay & ginger spice and a mineral citrus palate #Oldvine #DrinkChenin #AwardWinning

Staying in #Stellenbosch in the Polkadraai region we find this maiden vintage planted 32 years ago by the last work horse on the farm from #Solitarywine the nose gives off herbal notes envoleped in Camilla & almond wood characters with a citrus and gooseberry finish #Drinkchenin

The #Franschhoek valley has has given us this blended Chenin from @holdenmanz.Two different terriors at play here leaving a symphony of white peaches, orange zest, jasmin & grannysmith apple on the nose and a quince & honeysuckle finish on palate #Drinkchenin

The #BottelaryHills of #Stellies has given is this Chenin from @HazendalWine. 9 months maturation in combination of #French & #Hungarian barrels as well as stainless steel leaves a apricot & lemon with ginger nose finished by creamy nectarine palate #DrinkChenin
