Compared to the charnel houses of the USA and UK, Australia has so far done well. This is down to good luck, random chance and, after about mid-March, much improved management and above all the common sense & commitment of the Australian people. over 100 people dead and 7,000 infected, some with very serious complications, poor administration(Ruby Princess) and increasingly rocky transition from lock-down with new cases increasing over past week from 380 to 427. And double digit under- and unemployment, economic and
immense economic & social dislocation. We cannot kid ourselves that this is over. It is not. Social distancing, use of masks, and continuing testing all imperative to sustain good outcomes. And far better economic recovery plans. @GMegalogenis @CroweDM @guardiannews @MJA_Editor
