I’m so over it.
To any fans out there disgusted by what has transpired between the league and the players, I feel you. I’m sorry. It’s so ugly. Such a bad look.
I would love to go off right now and call out all the people that need to be called out. There’s a long ass list. But then I’d receive a phone call and get reprimanded. I don’t have the energy for all of it. I’m defeated.
I’ve benefited from the system so take this for what it’s worth. The business side of the game has always been something that bothered me, even when I was a player. I now loathe the business side. Owners crying poor, the PA throwing minor league dudes to the wolves, it all sucks.
In the current construct there can be no working together between MLB and the Players. It’s us vs them every day and it’s exhausting. Forcing agreements and mandations of schedules is such a joke. Imagine f*cking up a 10B industry this badly in front of your fans. Way to go.
Whatever ends up happening, only one thing is true. We all lost. Literally no one involved in baseball won or benefited from this. Owners lost, players lost, fans lost, other employees of the game lost.
