this is not industry-specific, but some of my worst abusers have been women (cis + trans) and nonbinary. even now, i wonder what i could have done to pull them from the brink.

marginalized people with a shred of power will be tempted to weaponize it against even more vulnerable people.
how do we wrest that power from their hands? we are all responsible for our own actions, but every stabbing is *allowed* by the community.

some of my thoughts are too messy for twitter, but tl;dr i think that both victims and abusers deserve a different society than this one.
kindness isn't absolution, and kindness isn't disposing of inconvenient people. kindness is taking communal responsibility for each other and interpersonal outcomes.
