Social media justice; the two-faced dilemma.

In the era of the cancel culture and heightened political correctness, it's become increasingly difficult to address social issues objectively...
One faces the risk of being labelled insensitive or even worse an "apologist" when your views are somewhat different from vox populi.
A lot of pseudo-discerning people jump on the bandwagon of trending hashtags without properly dissecting the facts of the "case" they are judging.
One can understand why a lot of people would be triggered especially around the subject of rape but we're quick to forget that there are two sides to a story.
Many a times, cases judged on social media remain and die as allegations.

The supposed victim is quickly made a sympathetic character and the accused labelled a villain without any proper investigation.
It's almost certain that you're on the brunt of the social media courtroom once you're accused and a "fav" influencer picks interest.

I'm not referring to any particular issue here, this is just a trend observing here.

The other one that called out Israel only to find out that she was wrong or we can refer to the controversial Busola vs Fatoyinbo where the case was dismissed by the Abuja High Court...

This DOESN'T change the fact that women continuously suffer sexual abuse, rape, violence and it needs to STOP.
I AM 100% AGAINST RAPE or any violence against women.

However, we need to collectively hold ourselves accountable. Men & Women.
A reported a case 2 weeks ago where a landlord sexual harassed his female tenant in her bathroom.
A fellow landlord (female) was appealing to this landlord. This I witnessed.

Men need to do better but women need to have one another's backs for real.
We also need to critically study a case brought before us on social media before passing a judgement.
We owe that much to both parties because your actions or inactions can wreck irredeemable havoc.

That's is all I have to say and I hope I made some sense and that you fully comprehend all I've written because you pass your commentary.
