BIG CAREER NEWS! You're talking to a certified fresh @RottenTomatoes film critic!

If you're a film critic, getting on RT is a big deal. Everybody checks the tomatometer when they are on the fence about a movie. It's habitual practice.

I'm a movie guy and proud of it! (Thread)
If you know me at all, you know movies are my #1. Sports and TV shows are golden, but movies are required for me. Writing about them is homework for life. Something many people think is easy but is actually one of the hardest parts of a film critic's job: Putting it into words.
Ever since I was kid, going to the movies was my escape. It was me and my dad. Esquire, Kenrick, Des Peres, Avalon, or even old Union Station. Wherever showed the flicks, we would sit. I hammered him with questions afterwards, because that's where the itch to write starts.
I treated every film like an investigation. Some were closed cases; others are still pending to this day, bouncing around my brain for good. I loved them and how they made me feel. The emotional resonance of a movie can be the best part. Losing yourself and then finding yourself.
I want to thank some people who make this necessary. Jordan Palmer at @ksdknews for giving me the platform. He's gone to bat way too many times for me. To the great folks at @AlliedGlobalMkg. Joe, Pete, Matt, Ian, Sean. Mark Schulte told me to apply for RT. Thank you, Mark.
I did it. Now, as they say, it's on to the next thing. You can't stop moving forward. Don't get complacent or set up camp with the sun still up. Keep moving. As Don Draper would say, "when people find happiness, they just want more happiness."

Thanks to YOU for reading me.
