THREAD:

THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE YOUR VOICE

1. They set you up to fail. An argument that cannot be won. A sensible conversation that cannot be held.

Happened during Brexit, happening now.
2. I was trolled last week from someone purporting to be a PoC. They were race baiting & presented untruths about George Floyd's character & previous convictions.
3. So I'm faced with a dilemma:

a) Ignore the lies & I'm disadvantaged with any sort of debate because George Floyd is being passed off as a person of previous good character,

b) Call out the lies & be called a racist.
4. This wasn't a conversation about whether the death of George Floyd was wrong, or whether the perpetrator should stand trial - those are the obvious wrongs. It was about controlling my freedom of expression.
5. I either back off because I know where it's leading, or I continue & face the inevitable accusations.

But shutting down a legitimate debate will never work. It didn't work with Brexit, it didn't work with the Labour Party anti-semitism.
6. I'll never forgive those politicians who called me a racist or a Nazi. It added insult to injury when a woman was convicted of calling Anna Soubry a Nazi. So much for the rule of law & everybody being accountable - I don't see David Lammy standing trial any time soon.
7. I've spent most of this week annoyed.

I'm annoyed at the cancellation of opinion & voice.

I'm really annoyed at the Police & I'm really annoyed at the Government for letting the BLM protests go ahead a fortnight ago.
8. We could see where it was heading. There'd already been one protest & that should have been sufficient. But instead we had to witness criminal damage & violence spiral as the protests gathered momentum.
9. I was annoyed at the white voices egging on BLM people to commit crimes. One lawyer on here stating that damaging statues would probably result in an Absolute Discharge & no criminal conviction. Both of those assertions are wrong.
10. Then we had the museum curator giving information on the substances which would cause long term damage to bronze artifacts.

I found it all a bit surreal to be honest. Respectable people encouraging crime.
11. Claim the moral high ground & be absolved from blame. No debate, no discussion, no democratic process of decision - just grab the power by shouting 'racists' & do wtf you like. Pull it down, deface it, rewrite history & heritage.
12. So now we have the gibbering wrecks whom sit on the boards of companies, busily making statements or cancelling brand names/logos because they just might happen to offend someone.
13. I found it all a bit pathetic when the remoaners outed brands they decided supported the government: Yorkshire Tea & Heck Sausages to name two. Sales apparently increased, so maybe the gibbering wrecks are thinking the same will now happen.
14. IMO it won't. Sales rose because most people saw the silliness of boycotting sausages after the PM had visited the Heck factory.

But people will now also see the silliness of brands falling over themselves to be ultra woke. It's sickly & insincere.
15. It smacks of desperation. 'Our firm must appear to be a supporter, because if we don't you'll think we're racist'.

Sorry, but it just makes you look deranged & desperate.

I'm not a JK Rowling fan, but she won the identity argument over the Body Shop fair & square.
16. It's an important time for heritage, culture & a voice in how our country moves on. We mustn't be made to shut up. In a democracy the majority has to have its voice heard.

The MSM are an injured but dangerous beast. If they refuse to be fair, cut off their income stream.
17. If they refuse to give a rounded debate, cut off their voices: don't buy the papers, don't buy the licence.

You'd have thought Brexit would have taught them a lesson, but no, they're still peddling propaganda.
18. The MSM must not win.

The government must not capitulate.

The Police must be colour blind. Apply the law without favour, or they may as well not bother at all. They're losing control of the streets because they thought turning a blind eye would appease.
19. It never works. Police being part of the crowd never works. The Police have got to remain & be seen as totally neutral & unreadable. It's not their job to promote terrorism off the back of a cause.
20. They either get boss-side of it now & issue clear directions as to what is or isn't acceptable, or we'll see clusters of anarchy. With anarchy comes the loss of lives & livelihoods.
21. Just as we had that small window of opportunity with Covid 19 & Italy's warning to take action before it was too late, we're faced with a similar warning from the activities in the US. It won't go away with a softly softly approach.
22. We've got a few days to stamp out extremism on all sides, or we will face a summer of discontent.

The BLM protesters will be in their echo chamber of gripes, unaware or uncaring to legitimate concerns citizens have over the child grooming gangs & Islamic terrorism.
23. What a pity these serious issues were swept under the carpet. Call them out, deal with them & move on.

Appeasement & silence hasn't worked & never will. Citizens have a right to be heard on how the Country is shaped & how we all get along.
24. The ugly truth in all of this is: if people are faced with Hobson's choice, they will choose far right.

The alternative with BLM is Marxism & lawlessness.

Only those with nothing to lose will choose the latter.

Don't wait to find out if I'm correct - be heard now.
