A little wake up call for all of you not wearing masks:
My cousin checked into the hospital Tuesday morning for body aches and chills. They tested her for COVID-19 and her results came back positive. She died yesterday morning around 4 a.m. of kidney failure. She was 23.

She has a 9 month old son who won’t remember his mom, and she’s the oldest of 5 siblings that she helped raise. My aunt is not well, physically, mentally. I would say prayer is necessary but the damage is done.
You may neglect your own health, but please, be considerate of others. Our family could have never imagined this type of plot twist but this is real, and I’ll be the first to tell you I doubted all of it and it’s severity in the beginning.
Seeing first hand what this pandemic is capable of and the the climate we live in, how tainted society is, and how short our own lives are, please be safe and please be cautious of how you can prevent the spread of this.
Going out is not worth it, I promise. Brunch, the strip club, the mall, nail salons, all of it will be there when this is over. Don’t risk other people’s lives because you’re a selfish, entitled asshole who can’t stay in the house for a few days. People are dying from this.
I say all that to say this, I know it’s hard for everybody right now. I’m out of work too, I’m bored, can’t see my friends and family, I’m going stir-crazy, I get cabin fever; all of it. But we have no choice but to preserve and prioritize our own health right now.
Stay inside for the time being. If you absolutely have to leave, wear a mask. In doing that, you may have saved someone’s life, if not your own. My cousin would’ve asked you to do the same! You guys be safe + be blessed.
Peace + light
