I see some angry that the PM seems to have given up on territory along the LAC India claims, and China holds. It’s not clear to me, though, whether those angered (a) want war to enforce that claim or (b) think it's best to perpetuate our national self-deceit for some more time

Every half-decent historian admits India's claimed LAC has, shall we say, shaky foundations. If the PM is seeking a resolution based on territory actually held, this seems to me to be sanity—not cowardice
Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru let himself be led by the nose into an unwinnable war by bombast and delusion. Personally, I'd be happy if that didnt happen again.
Flay the PM for his party’s silly remarks on Aksai Chin, or making a mess of defence modernisation. But to attack him for telling it as it is on the LAC—painful as it might be—is push India down a truly dangerous path
