This rush to make Juneteenth a holiday is quite interesting. I have no issue making it a holiday but I question why we as students were never taught the significance of this day. Why all of a sudden do the usual panderers rush to make it a holiday yet no change to curriculum

Sure their children and so on down the line knew how important it was to them as immigrants from Ireland to volunteer to sign up and fight and potentially come home maimed or not at all for everyone to be free but also to keep the country together. I have lady’s almanacs handed
Down through the family with notes of who died and also with poems and writings from that time in history . That is why I get so disgusted at the Hollywood celebrities and the Panderers and more importantly the screamers of White Privilege who ignore the many thousands of men &
Women who put their lives on the line and many who sacrificed their lives to fight for you and your freedoms . That’s how I was brought up. That everyone is equal and many start with nothing and were laborers or farmers and worked hard, So their children might have an easier life
Then they did. So you can be assured I will never kneel before anyone. I’m proud of who I am and if you don’t like it then #GetBent #GetBent2020 #JUNETEENTH2020
