1. “God is there, he’ll take care”

Usual bullshit excuse to do stupid, irresponsible shit OR not act at all.

He will not 'take care of you’ until you take care of yourself & your own life.

-----Typical bullshit Indian Mentality---

THREAD.
2. “This is destiny man..nothing can be done..”

Typical fucking cowardly defeatism.

It CAN be done.

Start taking Responsibility, make some Tough Decisions, and Get Moving.
3. “They’re your elders, you should respect them"

Unconditional respect – even if wholly undeserved.

Age has nothing to do with respect- at all.

You blindly follow bullshit advice, still call yourself ‘educated’.

You're not.

You’re a slave.
4. News on TV glaring in the background, all day at home, Full blast, all day.

Preparing to outrage & show off your amazing understanding of world events in your night cocktail party.

While your potential, family/personal life rots away.
5. Make up some drama for time pass.

A comfortable lifestyle. That’s all you want.

Then a feeling of emptiness creeps in.

Immediately you fill it with some bullshit drama.

Provoke people, have fights.

Create problems out of thin air to feel useful. Petty bullshit.
6. “Nothing in my heart….I’m a very straightforward person”

Justifying self in a nauseating, sickening manner to other people.

Waiting to be approved as a ‘clean hearted’ and ‘pure and nice’ person. Nobody cares.

You may be ‘straightforward’, but you’re still miserable.
7. “Actually…this is why I couldn’t…"

Ever ready to pop your excuse bag out.

Fuck off.
8. “This is the way it’s going to be now..can’t change it…that’s life"

Just negative, cynical, defeated, jaded and bitter.

Keep thinking you’re ‘wise’. You’re not.
9. “Joint family is the best system"

Keep harping virtuously about joint family being the 'best system’

Too afraid to call out the untold vices.

Most are fucked up. Miserable. Screwed dynamics. “Unhappy families living under one rooftop”
Stop pretending.

Stop stopping yourself from being a critical thinker.
10. “But but …what will my parents think..can’t upset them"

Yes, you will screw your own life up but you're too afraid to cross parents.

God forbid your actions are unapproved.

“How will I live with myself?”

Set yourself up for a miserable life. Go ahead.
11. "Duties at all costs”

Yes, to the extent you become a slave.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Used and abused & thrown whenever convenient.

Live a nice, thankless life.
12. “Who’ll do so much work!”

Keep your vague dreams to yourself.

You’re not committed.

Keep your shitty job & bullshit complaints to yourself.
13. “Oh I saved so much money bargaining with the street vendor! Bought 10 bananas instead of 4”

You never learned how to make money. J

Just save pennies thinking they’re going to become rich.
14. "This degree…this job. I’ll be fine..security is key"

Want 100% certainty, not fulfillment.

That’s why you’re unhappy.
15. "Forget it, let it be…it’s cool"

Anything to avoid confrontation. Due to cowardice. To look virtuous. To assume a ‘moral high ground’.

You're just too afraid to face the situation. Keep trying to cover it up with a 'large forgiving heart'.
16. “We are small people…what to do.."

Fake humility. You’re small because you consider yourself small. You play small. And shy away from risk & aggression.

Keep your fake modesty to yourself.
These observations aren’t peculiar to Indian society alone

But these are disastrous weaknesses that are most definitely pervasive,

Amongst the current mindset of umpteen fellow Indians.

Misunderstand & get triggered at your own peril.

Nobody cares.
Those itching to confront & improve themselves won’t get defensive.

They’ll introspect and CHANGE THEIR LIVES if they’re really committed.
