Don't pay R2000 to register your small business. It is only R175 to do it yourself.

Go online to the website of CIPC and register a new company for R175, registration is R125 and the name is R50.

Go to https://www.bizportal.gov.za/  which is the easiest website vision for CIPC.
The money you will deposit via their bank details found on the website. You can even pay with you card which it is immediate payment.

They will do BBBEE for you for free and all other business documents on the bizportal website.
For your business always have a professional email address even if it is your own personal email address. It must be professional. Don't use emails like [email protected]
Try to keep it simple and professional like [email protected]
Go to SARS, do a tax clearance for free.

Go to Standard Bank they can help you open a business account for only R85. Check it online now: https://www.standardbank.co.za/southafrica/business/products-and-services/bank-with-us/business-bank-accounts/our-accounts

I know also FNB plus NEDBANK also have cheap business accounts starting from around R100 to R250 too
Go online, registered on the CSD, for free.

Go to your municipality and ask them to register you on their database as a supplier, for free.
While also doing that use social media to market your business. I help alot of small businesses reach a wide range of audiences using my company @opencampusza and student influencers check it our via http://www.opencampus.co.za  or you can use other Twitter and Instagram influencers.
Go to your nearest NYDA, attend their financial management short course for a minimum of 5 weeks (once a week), for free.
When doing branding for your business try to do it yourself as much as possible.

Logos, Letterhead, business email, website etc.

For low cost website try Afrihost for a R39 website go to https://www.afrihost.com/site/product/linux_hosting you will get your company its own website.
Have a timeline. When do I do what, when do I do what and follow it. Don't postpone.

Create a professional relationship with people online. Try to brand yourself properly with the sector you are in.

Also create a LinkedIn account. It will help too.

As a startup it is advisable to use every money you have wisely. For a logo try using free services such as @canva to create a free logo for your company. Later when your business is stable you can hire a professional to create a logo for you.

Always save 5% of all the money your business makes. For example if your business makes R2000 p/m take 5% which is R100 and save it each month in two ways. Put R50 in an accessible savings account for emergency and R50 must be invested for future growth of your business.
