I think a lot of people misunderstand when trans folks get really upset about grim stories about trans characters, we aren't saying "nothing bad can ever happen to trans people", we're saying "there's an oversaturation of trans pain without need or purpose in media"
Like I can count more trans characters in media that have really horrible or bad endings more than I can ones who have happy endings or overcome their challenge...when we have enough trans happiness and uplifting stories maybe it'll be easier to justify having some sadder ones.
