COVID-19 is impacting the sport I love: College Football.
There've been tweets where teams are showing exposure to COVID-19.
I decided to see how COVID-19 could impact the coaching staffs of all D1 CFB teams.
I manually gathered all the ages of HCs, OCs, DCs, and ST coordinators.
This first image shows the the age breakdown across all D1 teams and coordinators. Of the 559, I could not find the actual age, so I entered their age range based on the years they lettered at school.
I added the COVID-19 Fatality rate to the age groups. Since COVID-19 impacts those that are older, I was curious to see how it could impact CFB staffs.
Here we see that 5 (rounding up) could die from COVID-19. The 50-59 and 60-69 age groups would be most impacted.
Head coaches in the 50-59 age group: Brian Kelly. Dabo Swinney. Ed Orgeron. Jim Harbaugh. Jimbo Fisher. Ken Niumatalolo. Hugh Freeze. Mike Leach. Mike Gundy.

Head coaches in the 60-69 age group: Nick Saban. Mack Brown. Les Miles. Kyle Whittingham. Herm Edwards. Gary Patterson.
I then broke down the age groups by conference.
I multiplied the COVID-19 fatality rate by the number of coaches in each age group. The darker read means possible higher likelihood. Darker yellow shows what conference might get hardest hit.
The Big Ten as 2 coaches in their 70s, so that pulls that number up.
What does all this mean?
Wear a mask. Wash your hands. Socially distance.
Don't be selfish. Take care of yourself so you can take care of others.
Sooner, faster, and more willingly we do that, the sooner to sports we can return.
