I know people have been saying that a virtual event or webinar is not the same as attending events in person. Funny thing is that we have done over a dozen events now, have around 20 or so planned for the upcoming months. This situation has allowed us to present for regions
we normally wouldn't present for. But on top of that the engagement with the audience, the questions, the feedback etc, it has all been great. The feedback from one of the VMUG leaders was even more surprising...
VMUG leader said: the difference between a virtual event and a physical event is that people tune in to learn, where at a physical event some come for the day away from the office and the free food and swag.
And I understand the aspect of networking and mingling may be less at a virtual event, or even not exist. But that doesn't make the event useless, it is just different. I personally enjoy it.
