The best song off of Section 80. The song starts off by Kendrick saying to put three fingers in the air, which represents heart, honor, and respect. These three elements are talked about and shown throughout the song.
8. The Blacker The Berry

The smooth boom bap beat, the hardest line off of TPAB and the overall message, this song is amazing. Kenny says that he’s the biggest hypocrite, but it isn’t revealed why until the end. He reveals that it’s because he’s the reason of many black deaths
7. DUCKWORTH.

This song tells a story of Top Dawg robbing a KFC, and nearly killing Kendrick’s father. The smooth beat, unique flow, and storytelling is amazing on this track.
6. How Much A Dollar Cost

This song tells the unique story of Kenny at a gas station, where a man asks for money. After talking with the man and deciding not to give him money. The man reveals that He is God, and shows that his selfishness cost a place in Heaven for him.
5. Money Trees

This track explores the metaphor of a ā€œMoney Treeā€, and how it would be great to leave Compton and chill under a money tree. Essentially wanting to have a peaceful life with a nice financial status. Jay Rock also shows the problems with the projects he grew up in
4. U

This song shows a depressed Kendrick struggling and debating himself on if he is worth it or not. He constantly blames himself for rough things that have happened in his life. The vocals perfectly display a depressed mood, and show an intoxicated Kendrick in the second part
3. m.A.A.d. City

A top banger of the decade, this song shows what happens in a city like Compton. With the crazy beat and lyrics, this is a top song of the decade.
2. Alright

After the depressing song ā€œuā€, this song shows a promise of hope for the future, for both Kendrick’s mental health and racial equality in America
1. Sing About Me, I’m Dying Of Thirst

This 12 minute song split in 2 parts tells a story from 3 perspectives. The story of surviving in a ghetto area. The first perspective is a positive outlook on it, the second is a negative outlook on it, and finally from Kenny’s perspective
