Here's the deal. White people view Nazis as bad, but also like them in whiteness. They like redemption arcs for Nazis because they want to feel like they will also be loved and forgiven if they do something so easily avoidable as commit genocide.

The only way to stop to Nazi romances/ Nazi redemption stories it to confront the white people who are acquiring them for publishing houses & ask them point blank what they are seeing in themselves that they see reflected in Nazis that they feel these stories need to be told.

TL;DR some people in publishing want to know someone will forgive them if they accidentally become a Nazi.
