I hate that it's a risk for publishers to put out books longer than 5 issues. I dream of a future where creators can explore worlds at length, in more experimental ways that branch outside the infinitely dull 3 act structure. That only happens if we support projects like this. https://twitter.com/afwassel/status/1273331382589157376
So many books perish way before their time because they were never given a chance to blossom. Imagine if Preacher was only given 5 issues to start. It would have been cancelled because it takes about 10 issues before it finds itself, before the world and characters click.
I can't tell you how many times myself (or me and @ZacBeThompson together) had to sacrifice slower pacing or world-building just so we could get all the plot out as a result of length restrictions. The stories suffer and it breaks my heart every time.
