Just thinking about how the Soviet gulag system allowed prisoners to go home for 2 weeks a year on vacation if they behaved. What fucking prison system in history (other than that) allows/has allowed its prisoners to GO ON VACATION EVERY YEAR? 🤯
- oh, and get a LIVING WAGE for the entire time spent there, payable on release. With a guaranteed job and home waiting for you when you get out, and a big savings account! Wtf, this literally has to have been the most progressive prison system in human history.
