He plants & the defender forces his knee & ankle to rotate in opposite directions. This *potentially* led to a combo fibular fracture/severe high ankle/deltoid ligament tear. Extremely uncommon but to quote @TheRealAdam_H “big boys generate big force”

Rehab protocol for this injury is similar (but distinctly different) to the one A.J.G had. Players aren’t allowed to bear ANY weight at all on the ankle after surgery for 4-6 weeks.

The next phase in rehab for Hock is to continue getting his sea legs under him.

* Stabilize ankle muscles
* Balance training.
It was a significant injury but there’s no reason to believe he can’t be ready by August.
