1/5 Telehealth alleviates transportation barriers as a #SDOH, but it further highlights issues of digital equity. Connectivity is the justice we need within the digital divide.

2/5 I joined the Springfield Digital Equity team on the connectivity work group. Our vision is to have in-home broadband access for all who want it.

3/5 We hope to expand the strong internal WiFi networks already in existence at schools/libraries by using antenna coverage to expand access across the community.

4/5 Other options until we get there include private Telehealth spaces in the community where patients can access healthcare via reliable WiFi and computers.

5/5 Reliable internet access, and the equipment to use it privately, is an emerging social determinant of health in the era of Telehealth.
