More ranting:
-a UNSC seat is for Canada; not for Trudeau
-this is not American idol, stop making it about PM
-wanting a seat at UNSC doesn't mean UN is perfect
-UN needs major reforms
-always better to be at the table for international politics.
-if we lose, we need to ask why

IMO, if we lose:
-it is because we are great at rhetoric/ideas/goals/norms, but terrible at delivery/substance/dollars spent
-we started late & Irish did better at the above
-hope we invest more in FP, ODA, and diplomacy

IMO, if Canada gets a seat at UNSC:
-awesome. Let's get to work and make change happen.
-there better be a WOMAN ambassador appointed to the UNSC or I'm going to lose my s__t.
-it wasn't easy to get, so we better not assume we've won the world over. Again,we need to get to work!
