I spent a lot of time discussing with a patient today, I want to share a thought with you. Get a pen and jot things down, so you can take things away
The man kept asking why Nigeria opened up, even after the pandemic was showing that it was just starting, I replied with two words I learnt from @NaijaFlyingDr
1. Health
2. Economics

The two are worlds away, and if not properly aligned, can never merge
However, our conversation swayed towards the core of Health and Economics instead of Covid 19, and I told him this, Nigeria focuses so much on economics and leaves out health, and when health comes calling it rubs them of all the finance or economics they had
Many countries and finance experts have understood this, and this is why they brought the two together, merged and called it Healthcare Insurance. Many Nigerians, I included, still don't have any form of insurance. We are a gambling nation, "what if I don't need it?"
We forget that we can work for food, we don't work to have diseases or ailments, it comes calling, and the sad thing is that because we do not have a steady pool to pull from, Healthcare is very expensive in Nigeria now.
I encouraged him and myself to get insurance,
No matter how much you want to earn, or pursue wealth, you need to be healthy to do so. The next person needs to be healthy to attend to the business you are bringing to the table too.

End
We shall talk about how poor our insurance and HMO system in Nigeria is sometimes soon, hopefully proffer solutions to it too.

Cheers
