One thing that has been generally good for my peace of mind re COVID-19 is that there is so much evidence that WE HAVE THE POWER. The spread of the virus is under our collective control, and our sacrifices have been paying off.
I’ve been telling this to my nieces, too. Their job in keeping people healthy is just as important as the grownups’ jobs, and they’re doing great.
Tomorrow we’ll have recorded a total of 100,000 COVID-19 cases in Canada. If we’d taken no action on March, we’d have reached that milestone over two months ago.
WE DID THIS.
WE DID THIS.
If we’d taken no action, we’d no longer be experiencing exponential growth at the original rate by the middle of June...because exponential growth at the original rate would have the entire population of the world dead several times over by now.
