I've been personally struggling with the return of footy as I don't think it's being done for the right reasons. Initially I was adamant that I wasn't going to watch...
...I've been telling myself that "in the grand scheme of things, football just doesn't matter". But after a lot of thought I've concluded that our club is more than just the game. It's about community and the people involved...
...I've been thinking about the people who work at @ManCity - not just the players, but the people that make the whole engine run from behind the scenes who have been hard at work and deserve kudos for what they're doing...
...I still think it's the wrong decision, and I hope I am proved wrong, but for now I'm going to remember something my Dad says...
..."we are supporters, and it's our job to support the team". To me this means supporting the players on the pitch, the manager, those working behind the scenes, and the rest of the supporters. Because we are a community and we are stronger together.
So, thank you to every single person at @mancity and I will be wearing my City shirt with pride today in support of every single one of you. #COMEONCITY!
Also, big shout out to everyone at @ChicagoMCFC - check your emails for details on a virtual get together for the match this afternoon...
...and lastly to all the staff at @AJHudsons. I miss you so much and looking forward to seeing you again - I'm not quite ready to be back in social groups just yet, but as soon as I am AJs will be my first stop
