I just thoroughly enjoy how applying any sort of conditions to lifting sanctions on Assad and his pals or upholding any sort of standards on how aid should be distributed is somehow unrealistic. Has Assad done anything(!!!) to earn sanctions relief or build trust in general?
We should have bombed the absolute fuck out of Assad in 2013 for using chemical weapons and now we're apparently having conversations on being tooo tooough on poor wittle Bashar because we won't lift sanctions put in place for things he continues to do.
