When comparing Hazard to other players, people like to bring up Eden’s goal stats and say that he dosent score enough. However, for a playmaker to score 20+ goals a season is quite superb. His goal stats may not be as high but he makes up for it with his great play making ability
Most of his goals for Chelsea are penalties and world class goals and he rarely scores goals like tap-ins.This shows that his stats may not be as big but his goals and assists hold more quality to them then a regular player.Scoring a lot of goals does NOT make you a great player
Now let’s compare him to other EPL (18/19) players. When it comes to the overall season Eden Hazard comes out with the best rating. During the 7 season he spend in the EPL he was the best overall 3 times (2015,2017 and 2019)
Although his goal stats aren’t the best. In 18/19 he was the 2nd most complete attacking player behind Lionel Messi. This is based on goals, assists, key passes and dribbling
Hazard also had the most MOTM awards in that season with 14 in the EPL. 2nd place was shared by Raheem Sterling and Mo Salah with 8 MOTM awards. In all competitions Hazard had a total of 18 MOTM awards, the only player with more than him is Messi with 24 MOTM awards.
A big factor of Hazard’s game is his dribbling. He is (imo) the 2nd best dribbler itw behind Lionel Messi. In the last 5 years in the EPL hazard had 700+ successful dribbles (The most in England). He also has the highest dribble success rate

In conclusion, Hazard was the best in England (2015-2019)as he was the most complete player. He may not be an elite goal scorer but his playmaking ability and dribbling make up for it. He may not be having the best season right now but I’m sure he’ll be back to his best
