UPDATE:

@GovRonDeSantis said a "Central Florida airport" tested 500 workers who work closely for #COVID19 and found 260 positive cases, 52% rate.

I just talked to @MCO.
They say two sets of data must have been confused.

THREAD:

( @WESH)
Data set 1: Cumulative data for the pandemic

Mid-March through June 6:
-132 workers throughout @MCO tested positive. That includes workers ALL THROUGHOUT the airport - TSA, rental car services, airlines, etc.
-128 community cases were connected to those 132 people
Data set 2: Last week's tests

Last week, @MCO says they tested 500 workers, as a precaution for their employees.

Per airport spokeswoman, only TWO of those cases came back positive.
I've reached out to the governor's office for comment, and to our other local airports to get their current case counts. Will update as we learn more.
