Constantly removing specific posts or accounts is like trying to keep ants away by flicking them individually with your finger while leaving jelly smeared all over everything. The environment needs to be made uninhabitable for the bots and trolls.
If people had the capability of quickly and easily seeing inorganic activity, they would filter it out themselves; no censorship needed. Perhaps also the story would then become “Trump’s narrative of x is being artificially boosted” instead of “TRUMP SAID X! TRUMP DID X!”
But maybe all that inorganic activity is also what’s keeping other metrics up? Like “engagement” and “engagement”-based advertising? How long till advertisers leave because spending money on these platforms has become an exercise in futility?
