Today I realized that some Sasuke stans are indeed a different breed.

In this thread, I’m going to be explaining why Sasuke’s ideology was wrong and right at the same time and debunk the claim that “Naruto became the Hokage for clout”.

(Continued...)
Sasuke’s ideology was based on deception. Sasuke wanted to take on all the hatred by being a common enemy to the Shinobi world; assuming it would unite everyone out of fear.

Was Sasuke wrong for wanting to change the flawed system? Absolutely not. Sasuke was someone who believed that his clan and no clan deserved to be murdered like that. He beloved that it’s a village’s duty to protect the clans.

So, where did he go wrong? Sasuke would never be the enemy to the world because he didn’t want to destroy it. Yes, he wanted to destroy & rebuild... but what then? Eventually, people would figure out that there is no enemy they are fighting against and

The unity would fall apart. Not to mention the fact that Sasuke wanted to do it alone. For how long? Eventually you would get organizations or individuals who would rebel.

To live for eternity is impossible. The loneliness would destroy a person because at the end of the day, Sasuke was a human. He would need a successor and this would mean that there would be a risk of exposure to his power.

Naruto’s method wouldn’t ensure peace forever either. However, it would last much longer because despite corruption, people shared pain and would continue to fight for peace.

A leader like Hiruzen would do more harm than good to a village but if the Uchiha had opened up to him, instead of secretly planning to overthrow him because they suspected and blamed the Uchiha, the Uchiha massacre could’ve been prevented.

Sasuke didn’t understand this and never looked at the system from an objective point of view. That’s why I believe he was right for wanting to get rid of corruption but wrong for doing it alone and through fear. Although, I do understand why he wanted that.

Naruto didn’t want to become the Hokage for clout. That’s the most ridiculous statement. He wanted peace for the whole world and make all Shinobi cooperate with each other. Corruption would eventually happen but the likelihood of justice & righteousness

Would increase under the right leader. That’s why Sasuke admitted that he lost. He truly understood Itachi’s reason for sacrificing everything and letting him live. He is protecting the Shinobi world and the peace that Naruto has achieved through love.
