Five years ago, these nine, beautiful souls were senselessly taken. A white man went to Bible study, sat there, and then decided to shoot up the church...all because he didn’t like black people (he wrote that in his manifesto). Five years later...what’s changed?

Good listen on @NPR about what, if anything, changed since the Charleston Church shooting five years ago —-> https://www.npr.org/2020/06/17/879041073/five-years-after-charleston-church-shooting-america-reckons-with-racial-injustic
I’ll never forget how officers arrested Dylann Roof; At the time, a suspected mass killer. Officers arrested him with no problems...even bought him Burger King. Imagine getting FOOD after you just killed nine people. A hearty, juicy burger. Meanwhile............
After cops arrested Roof, they figured out he didn’t eat in couple of days. So, they bought him a hamburger. How thoughtful...feed the man who just killed nine people... #Charleston9
Yet and still, survivors,
families and friends of the #Charleston9, found ways to forgive Roof. How could they forgive someone who was proud to be so hateful? Here’s a story from @hodakotb (2018)
