the afl has never cared about aflw and the women’s game until it become good marketing and pr, hastily rushing it ahead with hardly any rules or thought put into it, while players who sacrifice so much just for the chance to play, are treated as second-rate compared to the men

time and time and TIME again the afl has continually let down the women who want to pursue their dreams and give them a pittance compared to the men all while claiming patience and growth, but doing the BARE minimum to actually promote and grow the women’s game

you can say “oh but the current restrictions mean they wouldn’t be able to play” but that’s absolute bs. CONSULT THE PLAYERS. ACTUALLY ENGAGE WITH THEM. there’s a player association right? or where are they right now, what have Marsh and Dangerfield got to say here?
