Dear Line managers, don’t manage the person manage the output.
I’ve always had managers who strongly believe in managing the output over managing me as a person. Fortunate enough to have never been micro-managed. I don’t need that kind of discomfort in my work environment. Great Culture in the workforce is crucial

Also give your direct reports the ability to make crucial decisions, be there to guide them if they uneasy. Build the confidence. Don’t harbor over every KPI set out!
You’re there to manage the process not the person. Don’t exert your power! We all there to learn not to understand that you’re the boss!
Have a teachable spirit, just because you’re the line manager it doesn’t mean you can’t learn from your direct report. You can never know everything.
Direct reports must also be fully accountable & responsible when things don’t go as planned. It is also crucial to gain the trust of your manager that you’re fully capable to execute on your own.
Make it a pleasure to go to work. Understand that we spend most of our time at work. Don’t let people dread to go to work. The end.
