Since so many people share article news, I also have some news: yesterday I had a paper rejected. Apparently I wrote the worst paper ever in economic geography and I should never be allowed near a computer again. #academiclife #winning

Thanks for all the reassuring comments. I know that this resonates because the frustration with peer review is far more common than what we acknowledge in public. Just to be clear though, those were not the literal words of the reviewer. It was more theoretically and empirically

this paper is really bad and cannot be published. Which maybe is true, though I did spend a fair amount of time working on it and of course didn' think so. My main goal was to make a comment on how brutal and frustrating this business can be.
